Product details
This warm wool coat is from the Filson archives, originally designed for ranchers on horseback. It’s made with the iconic Mackinaw Wool, our signature fabric with a 120-year legacy of weather protection. Cut a bit longer for added coverage, the torso is lined with cotton twill for added warmth and comfort. The sleeves are lined with polyester twill that slides easily over layers. The luxuriously soft sheepskin shearling collar provides coverage to the ears when extended, and can be secured at the throat with a buttoning tab. Button-front closure and snap-adjustable cuffs. Two front cargo pockets with snapped flaps.
Our Mackinaw Wool is the finest example of the material that’s been the fabric of choice in the outdoors for centuries. It’s naturally water-resistant and highly breathable. The tight weave of the twill fabric makes it quite wind-resistant and provides the durability to last for generations. Our wool wicks moisture to its tips for evaporation, allowing it to insulate well even when wet.
