Our design ethos, no matter the product, is informed first and foremost by the materials at hand. While crafting the other bags in the Butter Collection, we were struck by how this wildly soft aniline-dyed leather naturally folded in on itself — expanding or collapsing to cradle the goods inside. We all need a little pouch like this: something to hold the essentials that get lost in a bigger bag, whether that's jewelry, makeup, chargers, or the odds and ends that disappear to the bottom of a purse. And so the Drawstring Pouch was born.

Soft as butter, wildly supple, and destined to develop a rich patina with age, the Drawstring Pouch safeguards your treasures in an aniline leather cocoon. This leather breathes, softens, and wears in beautifully, ultimately weaving the hide’s origin story together with a patina earned entirely by you. With a flat-bottom design that stands up on its own and easily nestles inside larger bags, this pouch makes safekeeping your jewelry and valuables, organizing small electronics, or corralling your health and beauty essentials a cinch.

Materials

• 3 oz aniline-dyed full-grain cowhide

Care
Aniline leather is designed to age beautifully and develop a rich patina over time. Because of that, it’s also more susceptible to staining and premature fading from sunlight. For routine care, wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust, surface dirt, and body oil. Limit prolonged direct sunlight to slow fading and retain moisture in the hide. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners. If the leather feels dry or loses some suppleness, apply a thin layer of leather conditioner (we recommend Bickmore's) with a clean microfiber cloth. Always clean and condition the entire bag or panel, never just the problem area. Less is more: condition only when needed.
