DESCRIPTION

Our love letter to leather, the Butter Bag is crafted from 3 oz aniline-dyed, full-grain cowhide. Aniline leather showcases the authentic character of the hide, preserving unique grain patterns, natural markings, and subtle variations in the dying process. Because of this, only the highest-quality hides are used, resulting in a remarkably soft, wildly supple leather that’s smooth as butter. Authentically natural, this leather breathes, softens, and wears in beautifully, ultimately weaving the origin story of the hide together with a deep, rich patina earned entirely by you.

We could go on about the leather all day, but we’ve got a bag to talk about here. Featuring generous dimensions for everyday utility, an interior pocket for organization, a wide top opening with magnetic closure for effortless access, and a comfortable 1.5” strap that slings perfectly over a shoulder or chair, the Butter Bag is a standout choice for everyday use. The clean lines and slouchy, understated silhouette look right at home just about everywhere — which is good, because the two of you will quickly become inseparable.

Care
Aniline leather is designed to age beautifully and develop a rich patina over time. Because of that, it’s also more susceptible to staining and premature fading from sunlight. For routine care, wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust, surface dirt, and body oil. Limit prolonged direct sunlight to slow fading and retain moisture in the hide. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners. If the leather feels dry or loses some suppleness, apply a thin layer of leather conditioner (we recommend Bickmore's) with a clean microfiber cloth. Always clean and condition the entire bag or panel, never just the problem area. Less is more: condition only when needed.
